Appearance: Kaoru has long blue hair and blue eyes. In his subhuman form he also has two small horns on his head, pointed upwards, and a long blue-scaled tail. He usually wears his favorite pair of dark jeans with the tears in the knees, and his white T-shirt with an ocean wave on the front.
Personality: Kaoru is mostly a calm and easygoing person. Nothing much upsets him, as long as he’s not being openly attacked. He’d rather avoid a situation than have a big confrontation with someone. Secretly, he fears his powers because he thinks they might overpower him someday if he doesn’t keep tight control of them. Sometimes he comes off as emotionless. However, all this changes when he’s performing music. Then he becomes giddy and hyper like a little kid.
Interests: Kaoru loves music. He is obsessed with his guitar and putting together a band. He also loves swimming, but not professionally.
Relationships: Kaoru never had a lot of close relationships in his life. He spent most of his time practicing his guitar and studying to keep his grades up, which his parents insist on. He does want friends whom he can depend on, but he hasn’t made it a priority in his life yet.

Special abilities: Kaoru has the ability to control water, creating swells and tides in small bodies of water (he can’t control anything like the ocean as of yet). He also can control the weather to some extent, usually limited to forming a small cloud above his head when he wants a refreshing spray of water. However, out of the four boys he is the one to use his power the least, because he fears it going out of control.
Personal history: Kaoru comes from a well-to-do family who live uptown in a nice, three story home. His father owns a factory and his mother is a professor at the local university. His parents encourage him to do well scholastically, believing a good education is the ticket to their son’s future success. Kaoru, on the other hand, has wanted nothing more than to have his own band and play music, ever since he was young. His parents allow this hobby, even buying him a manager, but only as long as he keeps his grades up. He is attending a private high school known for turning out doctors and lawyers . . . not guitarists.
Family: Kaoru’s parents are both normal humans (but he has several subhuman grandparents). He also has a younger sister, a fourteen-year-old named Harmony, who is a unicorn subhuman. Perhaps having two subhuman children is what makes Kaoru’s parents so firm in raising them.
